ML62Q2500 그룹은 16bit CPU nX-U16/100을 탑재한 고성능 CMOS 16bit MCU로서, 프로그램 메모리 (Flash memory), 데이터 메모리 (RAM), 데이터 플래시 (소거 단위: 128byte, 쓰기 단위: 1byte) 및 곱셈기/분할기, CRC 제너레이터, 클록 제너레이터, 타이머, 범용 포트, UART, 동기 직렬 포트, I2C 버스 인터페이스 장치 (Master, Slave), 전압 레벨 감독 (VLS), 고속 연속 근사형 12bit A/D 컨버터, 안전 기능 (IEC60730/60335 Class B) 등 풍부한 주변 기능을 통합하고 있습니다.
CPU nX-U16/100은 파이프라인 아키텍처 병렬 처리를 통해 1-instruction 1-clock 모드에서 효율적인 명령어 실행이 가능합니다.

내장된 온칩 디버그 기능으로 소프트웨어 디버깅 및 프로그래밍이 가능합니다. 또한, ISP (In-System Programming) 기능은 생산 라인에서 플래시 프로그래밍을 지원합니다.
