FAQ
  • When should I set the high-impedance output that can be set in the port n control registers (PnC0, PnC1)?
    • The pins become open in high-impedance output mode, thus eliminating the current path for the pins. Please set the high-impedance output when you do not want to set the "H" or "L" level to a connection destination, or when the pins are not used.
Also, the current path for the pins can be eliminated when no pull-up/pull-down resistor is used in high-impedance input mode. However, this may cause a pass-through current to flow in the input circuit if the pins become intermediate potential, thus increasing the current consumption. Please set the unused pins to high-impedance output mode.
