The overheat protection function (TSD) of linear regulators activates when the IC is overloaded and the chip temperature exceeds the absolute maximum rating (approx. 175C), turning the output OFF. The output turns ON again once the temperature drops below the threshold value. The above operation will be repeated if the overload condition is repeated. Continuing to use beyond the absolute maximum rating will result in deterioration and, subsequently, destruction, so please avoid this at all costs.Related Link:Technical Document
