The recommended input capacitance is 0.33uF or more and output capacitance of at least 0.1uF, including temperature characteristics and variations. Although there is no limit on the maximum value, if the capacitance is too large the charge current to the capacitor will be limited by the overcurrent protection circuit, prolonging rise time.
